Since 2010, a third of all bee colonies in the United States have perished. In Europe, 30 percent of bees are currently threatened. A few of the food crops we could lose if we lose bees include: apples, oranges, lemons, limes, onions, cucumbers, carrots, cantaloupes, avocados, almonds, and blueberries. Both wild and domesticated bees are responsible for pollination.
